The Maze Runner

The Maze Runner,

I wait in line to received my delicious, buttery popcorn topped with a cool refreshing drink. My friends Alexa and Tegan waiting with me.
We enter the cinema excited to watch this soon to be amazing movie. We find our seats, middle row, middle seat. Everyone waiting in anticipation for the movie to start. The lights start to dim, my eyes adjust to the darkness, bright colours stream out from the gigantic screen above, my eyes are glued to the picture that are eliminated in front of me I don't want this to end!!! 

Hoot

HOOT:

Hoot is about a boy named Roy who moved to a new town, Coconut Cove. Everyday day he goes on the school bus and everyday he get bullied by Dana Matherson. One day on the bus Roy sees a mysterious running boy, which he becomes friends with. Mullet Fingers (running boy) step sister also becomes friends with Roy and together they stop Mother Puala Pancake House under construction, from destroying a special species of burrowing owls.
My Favourite character was:
Mullet Fingers because, he is very adventurous and isn't afraid of what anyone thinks.
My least favourite character was: 
Dana Matherson because he is a bully and a big suck up to teachers and parents and he liked to put people down.
My Favourite part of the book was:
When Roy run after the running boy and finally meets Mullet Fingers.
The message of the book:
Be aware of bulling, sticking up for yourself, not giving up, team work and survival.
My rating of the book 7/10:
It was quite an interesting book but some part got a little boring.

30 day book challenge

Today we did a activity where Miss Downard rapped up 25 book and put key words on the rapping.

We each got our name called out and choose a book that sounded interesting. My friend had a book that sounded cool to me, so Miss Downard let anyone who wanted to, to steal a book of their choice from another person. The book that I stole had: Dystopia, save the future and girl written on the rapping. When I opened it the title said: ICONS which sounded pretty cool to me. So far it is quite good, I think it will be awesome!!!!!!   

My Trip To Devon...
Last week on the 20th of August, 1/3 of the Mokoia Intermediate went on a sports exchange to Devon Intermediate in New Plymouth.
1st Day:
On the first day we went on a long bus ride to get to New Plymouth it took about 5 and 1/2 hours, it was real boring. We got billeted by Devon students and stayed a their houses. My billets name was Chloe she was so much fun,I also went with my friend Tegan who stayed with me. Chloe's mum was a hair dresser so we went to her salon and got our hair washed and dried after that we went to the movies to see ' The Guardians Of The Galaxy' It was awesome.
2nd Day: 
This day was the day we played our sport. I played in the girls soccer team (we have never lost against Devon). It was a fantastic game we played really well but we lost 2-4 to Devon. After the long sport day we went to the pools which was really fun it had 2 really fun water slides. One was called the turbo, it went pretty much vertical it was amazing. After the pool was the disco, it was also really fun but it got cut short because the fire alarm went off so we had to wait in the cold. It was still awesome!!!!!!!!
3rd day:
On the 3rd day Devon and Mokoia gathered up to say good bye. Over all in the sports Devon won just 3-4 to them. Besides that Devon was a fantastically amazing experience and it was sad saying good bye!!!!!!!! We hoped in the bus and had a long trip home!

Book Club

She goes to a support club that helps her go through cancer and while she is there she mets a boy - Augustusts Waters.

Augustusts is diaignosied with Bone Marrow Cancer.

Hazel falls in love with him and they do everything togerther.

Among The Hidden: Prediction

AMONG THE HIDDEN:

After luke got his IDcard I think that he will run away and explore the world and find other shadow children. He will try and fight against the govermenet to makeup for Jens loss. As he does that he will get caught and while there find Jen - ALIVE.

This Term we are reading the series Among The Hidden.

We have been reading Wonder for the last term and we are nearly at the end! Our teacher has assigned us to make a prediction. I think August will become very popular and not be the "weird, creepy dude" anymore and Jullian will get court and be in Huge trouble!

Camp Poem

L ights blind me as everone trudges out of their tents and hears "PRESS UP POISITION."                       

A ntartic waters rush  through my lungs like freezing bits of ice .

N aughty boys hop out of their tents not knowing what their in for.

T he silvery stars glisten in the night sky like dimonds.

E vening milos warm me up as the cold winds freeze my finger tips.

R efreshing summer air glides through my face as if im diving into water.

N oisy children scatter the grounds as we start to play spotlight.

S WOOSH, SPLASH, BOOM, CRASH! The waves thunder against the golden sandy floor of Thortan      Beach!

Write A Story As If You Were A Drop Of Water

I was floating down a cold, gloomy river flowing out of a misty Mountain! I was scared I had no family no friends I was just a little drop of water, seeking an adventure. As the river went on I heard a loud sort of noise it sounded as if it was some sort of ... waterfall, Oh No I thought, I new I was going to die!

I flew into the misty air as though I was flying (I new I wasn't, but it felt like it!) I tried to stay in the air as long as I could but I couldn't help myself, so I landed back in the water. It was quite scary rushing in and out of the ballistic waterfall but it was an adventure.

As soon as I reached the bottom my heart slowed down for a second it felt as if I was in a dream in a completely different world.

The river carried on as the currant pulled me. Just as I was wondering what would come next I bumped into a brown, soggy log that was blocking the river, I thought I could just swim under it but that was blocked off too. I was only little so how could I move that ginormous log I would have to use some help! You see a good thing of being a drop of water is that you can talk to animals it dosent really matter about how big or small it is!  

There were some birds nearby, I called them over "Can you please help me move this log" the birds said a pleasant yes and tried, I could see that the birds were struggling but what could I do to help so I told them they could go. I saw some beavers that were pretty close I asked if they would help so they did, gladly. They had razor sharp teeth I was shore they could bite through the dead wood.  I was right, I said thank you and they left.

I moved on what else could go wrong in a cold, spooky river (lots I guessed)
